The design duo, Ditte Reckweg and Jelena Schou Nordentoft are increasing their product portfolio for Kähler with Lumina. A small candle holder inspired by the shape of a tea light in a palette of pastels. Beautiful alone, but fabulous in a group – and the glow created by the interior glaze of the candle holder inspires you to colourful tableaux.
Ditte Reckweg and Jelena Schou Nordentoft both graduated from the Danish Design School (Ceramics and Glass Design) in 2001. They run the design store Stilleben.
Stilleben’s design is simple and functional, but always with a detail that makes the difference. Focus is on precise design and materials and surfaces which underline the product in the best possible way. Stilleben operates two shops, one in Copenhagen and one in Aarhus.
”We have always been totally fascinated by Kähler’s epoch-making ceramics, which have played an enormous part in placing Denmark on the map when it comes to art and design. It is with great pleasure that we help carry the artistic ceramics heritage into a new era and a new form language”, say the two designers.
